Embodiment Resources

'Embodiment' - of or related to the human body. Humans are always located somewhere and at sometime, and our awareness is profoundly influenced by the fact that we have a body. Ideas about embodiment are relevant to many fields, including religion, science, and philosophy.

These pages are offered as a resource for those researching into embodiment, particularly as it relates to phenomenology, sociology and cognitive neuroscience.

This project is managed by Adrian Harris, a postgraduate researcher at the University of Winchester, UK. My own research is into embodied knowledge in eco-paganism and my key interests at the moment are Merleau-Ponty, Gendlin, enactivism and extended cognition.
